The concept of making stovetop granola is possibly one of my favourite culinary twists of the moment. In essence, it’s basically an even quicker and simpler way to make granola without even needing to turn on your oven. Everything can be made in one pan and takes less than 15 minutes to whip up a delicious batch of golden, crunchy goodness!
I’ve always been a huge advocate of making your own granola, as I do find that lots of the store bought ones can be quite high in sugar. Plus, when making things yourself at home, you can customise the flavours to whatever you fancy, to create your perfect recipe! I’ve kept this recipe super quick and simple, with minimal ingredients. You could also add in some dried fruit or spices if you so wish, but I think it’s absolutely delicious just like this too!
Ingredients
- 2 cups jumbo oats
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp agave syrup
- Tbsp Arctic Berries Blackcurrant powder
- Handful coconut chips
- Handful chopped cashew nuts
- 2 Tbsp hemp seeds
- Pinch pink Himalayan salt
Method
In a large frying pan, gently melt together the coconut oil and agave syrup over a low heat.
Pour in all of your dry ingredients and give everything a good mix, so that they’re all coated in the delicious coconut oil mixture.
Allow this to cook whilst stirring frequently over a low-medium heat. Once the granola is nice and golden, remove from the heat and allow to cool in a separate dish/tray.
Store in an airtight jar or container, ready for all of your granola needs!
