Berry Peanut Butter Breakfast Smoothie

I wasn’t always a huge smoothie person, however recently I’ve recently started to really get back into them. One of my favourites are making super thick and creamy, ice cream like smoothies or smoothie bowls. They’re a super easy and convenient way to pack a whole load of micronutrients into your meal first thing of a morning, with minimal effort and no cooking! I always make sure to have a stash of frozen fruits in the freezer at all times as these have a much longer sell by date and are also often a lot more cost effective.

They’re great for adding into smoothies, porridge, making homemade jam and berry compotes. Berries are without a doubt, one of my favourite fruits and always have been. In the summer I’ll just eat punnet after punnet of raspberries and blackberries for snacks throughout the day. British berries in the summer time are just the best thing! Wild berries just have that incredibly vibrant flavour and of course, so many health benefits! During the winter months especially, I like to use frozen over fresh and add these Arctic Berries powders into my food because they’re freeze dried powders made from wild berries. This means that there’s no pesticides or anything added to them. These powders pack a serious punch of flavour and are such a quick and convenient way to boost dishes with extra micros!

Smoothies are a super handy grab and go breakfast or snack and I love to make them for a mid-afternoon snack before heading to the gym! They;’re super handy if you have to leave for work early in the morning, because it’s something that you can prep the night before and store in the fridge.
