PROMiXX Blender Review & Smoothie Recipe

I’ve recently been testing out the PROMiXX MiiXR X7, which is the world’s only performance nutrition blender. I think it’s safe to say that I’ve tried and tested my fair share of kitchen equipment and blenders in particular, over the last couple of years, so obviously jumped at the chance to experiment with this new addition!

I’ve used one of the Vortex mixers from PROMiXX previously- which you can check out here. (They’re really cool, you should definitely try them out!) I was always a big fan of these mixers as both the quality and performance of the product is excellent, so I had high hopes for this particular blender!

What they say..

“We’ve reimagined the blender, from its sleek design, and ergonomic Tritan bottles to the no-leak sports lids and non-slip base.”

“Our dual blades, perfect for protein shakes, smoothie bowls, grinding nuts, and more, all backed up with a powerful 700W base with continuous or pulse blending capabilities”

Design

Designed in the UK, the PROMiXX MiiXXR X7 is compact yet powerful, therefore making the perfect piece of kitchen kit, regardless of the amount of space you have. This is really handy for me, as it doesn’t take up much room on my counter top, but can also be moved in and out of a cupboard with ease. It’s also really quick and simple to clean, as the blender cup design means that the blade attachments can be cleaned thoroughly. This is something that can be slightly more difficult with jug blenders, making it harder to insure that you’ve removed everything from the blade area at the bottom.

Your PROMiXX blender comes with two different cup sizes, which are both 100% leak proof (a common problem I’ve experienced with countless blenders in the past), BPA & DEHP free, impact and odour resistant. The latter is great if you’re someone who makes a lot of protein shakes or green smoothies, as some shakers do have the tendency to smell after a while!

You will also receive a dual set of blade attachments: one for mixing protein shakes and the metal one can be used for blending anything from smoothies, nuts, soups, pancake batter.. you name it!

Power & Performance

Perhaps the most important category when it comes to reviewing a blender and what you’re all wanting to know- how powerful actually is it? and how well does it work?

The power unit is 700W and provides the option for both pulse and continuous blending functions. I wanted to make sure that I really put the blender though it’s paces before writing this post, as I wanted to be seriously impressed! Over the past couple of weeks I’ve tried and tested countless smoothies, pancake batters, soups, vegan ice cream, home made flours, nuts & no bake cheesecakes just to name a few and it’s definitely just as powerful, if not more so than blenders 3x it’s size!

I’ve been particularly impressed with how effectively the PROMiiXX X7 breaks down frozen fruit & ice- there’s no need to consistently stop and repeatedly shake the blender every couple of seconds (which I feel we all know very well!) I’ve also been using this religiously to blend my own oat flour, as it’ creates a perfectly smooth consistency within seconds.

Pro’s

I’ve been really enjoying using the PROMiXX MiiXR X7, it’s become part of my daily routine as it’s really easy to manoeuvre around my kitchen for work and blends quickly and effectively. I wanted to summaries the key points that I’ve been really pleased with:

  • Leak proof- I’ve used this endless times and haven’t experienced even the slightest bit of leakage!
  • Powerful- blends anything from smoothies to nuts and seeds making raw desserts with ease. A lot more powerful than other blenders of this style.
  • Compact and easy to store + looks attractive on your kitchen side
  • Quick and simple to clean

To finish off, I wanted to share a quick recipe made with the PROMiXX MiiXXR X7 for one of my go-to morning protein smoothies. This takes a matter of minutes to prepare and is ideal for a super speedy and nutritious start to the day!
