Blueberry Chia Jam

Homemade jams are one of my favourite quick and easy recipes. They’re super simple to make, a great deal lower in sugar than most store-bought varieties and are so versatile.

The chia seeds are what gives the jam that thick, jelly like texture; whilst also being a good plant based source of healthy fats and plant based protein. I often use these to make chia seed puddings as well, which you can have a nosey at here.

Blueberries have a naturally sweet flavour, so don’t tend to find that I need to add in a tonne of maple or agave syrup to counterbalance the sourness like with raspberries. As it’s Winter here in the UK, I’ve used frozen blueberries in this recipe, as these are generally quite a bit cheaper than fresh ones.
